Production Blog: Editing My Video
Here we are, after all my hard work I finally feel satisfied because I accomplished the hardest part of my project. Which is filming; it was a long journey but I enjoyed myself. Filming is also the most time consuming, important part of this project. Without the footage there will be no project. Essentially the footage is the base of my project and lucky for me, I just got it done. Everything is finally coming to a close. Soon enough I'll be done but for now I had to start editing.
Editing was really easy. I had to put all the clips in the correct order. When I filmed I just recorded the scenes that seemed the most convenient to film at the moment. So this was determined by what time of the day it is, how long the scene was and many other facts. Most of the clips I had to crop because there was a lot of bloopers. I'm guessing that's why it took so long to film because a lot of mistakes were made. However, along the way I learned a lot and I guess one could say mistakes is apart of the learning experience. I adjusted some clips by editing the brightness and exposure and just the overall look to the footage. I think this can improve the mood I want the audience to feel because color does in fact have an effect on our emotions.
Also there was many technical difficulties with my editing process.Either my computer would crash or my wifi was being slow. Lucky for me there was autosave on the video so I would never lose my progress. These minor issues could have made major problems but everything worked out at the end. For the most part editing was easy and I'm still not done because I have a minute of footage left to edit but I'll knock it out!
